sounds like a changeling missed about ten years of tech trends.

Much like Aidan's draconic companion...
Kayin: "It's...flat! It's a picture but...televisions should be thicker for the tube!"
Aidan: "Um...kid...you've been gone since 1969. It's a flat-screen TV using liquid crystal technology...yes, it's real."

Of course when they first met, Aidan was coming out of Gauru and Kayin shot him with a couple of arrows. Aidan had enough self-control not to kill a frightened kid/cub.
